To this end, it implements the following strategy and undertakes the following actions: the multi-annual plan and the action plan for the current year.
This accessibility declaration applies to the following sites: · www.degroofpetercam.com · https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/my-degroof-petercam-mobile-be/id1136221113 (My Degroof Petercam Mobile BE app / iOS version 18.6.2)
STATE OF COMPLIANCE
The website is not compliant with the European standard EN 301519. The non-compliance points are listed below.
TEST RESULTS
The audit conducted by Temesis, based on the Mobile App Accessibility Assessment Framework (RAAM 1.1) for compliance, yielded the following result: · RAAM 1.1 compliance rate: 36.37%
In detail: · Number of compliant criteria: 11 · Number of non-compliant criteria: 19 · Number of non-applicable criteria: 78
NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
The content mentioned below is not accessible for the following reasons:
List of non-compliant criteria: Based on the audit report provided, the iOS application “My Degroof Petercam Mobile BE” shows significant non-compliance with digital accessibility requirements aligned with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), particularly as implemented by standards EN 301 549 and the Mobile App Accessibility Assessment Framework (RAAM 1.1). The main areas of non-compliance are as follows:
Low overall accessibility compliance · The application achieves only a 36.67% compliance rate with RAAM 1.1, with 192 accessibility issues identified (141 blocking, 51 major, 0 minor), well below the threshold required for legal compliance in the EU.
Critical barriers for users with disabilities · Interactive components: Many essential buttons, navigation elements, and tab bars lack accessible roles or labels, making them unusable by assistive technologies (AT) such as screen readers. · Form fields: Input fields often lack accessible labels or format indications, preventing users from understanding input requirements or correcting errors. · Navigation: Keyboard and screen reader navigation is not consistently supported, especially in complex components. Focus management is frequently incorrect, leading to confusion and inaccessibility.
Insufficient adaptation to device accessibility settings · Text resizing: The application does not allow users to increase text size via platform accessibility settings (should allow up to 200% enlargement without loss of information). · Screen orientation: The application does not support landscape mode, which is required for accessibility.
Insufficient contrast · Textual and non-textual elements: Many textual and graphic elements do not meet minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large/bold text or graphic elements), impacting readability for visually impaired users.
Inaccessible downloadable documents · PDF and Office files: Downloadable documents (e.g., PDFs) are not accessible, as they lack necessary properties such as correct structure and alternative text for images. Accessible alternatives (HTML or DOCX) are not systematically provided.
Complex or missing gestures · Closing functions: Certain actions, such as closing dialogues or selecting dates, require complex gestures (e.g., swipe up/down), which are not accessible to all users. Simpler alternative methods are not provided.
Incorrect or missing semantic roles and labels · Buttons and interactive elements: Many interactive elements lack appropriate semantic roles (e.g., “button”) or descriptive labels, making them invisible or unusable for AT users. · Status information: Elements such as tabs, switches, and checkboxes often lack status information (e.g., “selected”, “disabled”), essential for screen reader users.
Focus management issues · Dialogues and bottom sheets: When dialogues or bottom sheets open, AT focus is not managed correctly, leading to confusion or inability to interact with content. Focus does not return to the initiating element when dialogues close.
Language and localisation · Text rendering: Some texts are not displayed in the main language of the screen, creating confusion for AT users.
General usability and user experience · Session expiration: The application interprets navigation via AT as inactivity, requiring session reactivation every two minutes, which is highly disruptive for users with disabilities.
Summary table of main non-compliances
Area | Examples of issues | Severtity |
Roles & Labels | Buttons, tabs, switches without roles/labels | Blocking |
Focus management | Incorrect focus on dialogues, bottom sheets | Blocking |
Contrast | Text and graphics below required ratios | Major |
Text resizing | No support for 200% enlargement | Blocking |
Orientation | No landscape mode | Blocking |
Downloadable documents | Inaccessible PDFs, no accessible alternatives | Blocking |
Complex gestures | Actions require gestures not accessible to all | Blocking |
Status information | Tabs, switches, checkboxes without status | Blocking |
Language | Some texts not in the main language | Major |
Session expiration | AT navigation triggers session expiration | Blocking |
Conclusion
The application, in its current state, does not meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act as implemented by EN 301 549 and associated frameworks. Major remediation is needed across all areas of accessibility, with particular focus on roles and labels, focus management, contrast, text resizing, orientation, document accessibility, and user session management. Close collaboration between UX, development, QA, and accessibility experts is essential to achieve compliance.
